Titan of the Verdant Maw
A downloadable game
Titan of the Verdant Maw is a sword & planet adventure designed for use with Old-School Essentials (Classic or Advanced) but is also compatible with the B/X ruleset and other OSR games.
The jungle has always been a dangerous place, but it has become even more deadly. A monstrous experiment has escaped its confines and is now roaming free. The mad scientist, Zanthar Krul, has unleashed his Krul Legion to recapture the creature, aiming to retain his dominance in the area. Meanwhile, some view this as a chance to undermine Zanthar and diminish his power. The question remains: who will rise to confront the challenges of the jungle? Those brave enough to venture forth will face off against mutated beasts, machines, and treacherous landscapes as they journey through the Verdant Maw.

I ran this for a group of two with hired help. I just ran it as a point crawl and drew locations as needed.
I might add a table that just randomly picks locations. This would possibly speed up encountering the behemoth.
I wasn’t exactly sure what to do with random NPCs at first but I would either have them as camp encounters or in the village.
I really liked that the adventure included a lot of tables and locations and left these for the DM to use as they saw fit.
Great job!
Appreciate the feedback!
Is there a map? I see all the keyed locations but no map
I just ran it as a point crawl and the PCs were just hacking through thick jungle and camping at night (for night encounters). I only drew either a location or a camp site as needed.
No map, sadly. I wrote it as a pointcrawl, with the possibility off adding a map later. I'll keep you posted if that ever happens.
okay cool
Are every point of interested is supposed to be done in order, or should we decide how to place them? I don't see somewhere if the connections between them is written
I wrote it to followed in numerical order, but there's probably some flexibility with the order of areas. There is also a seperate download for a free map, made by someone else. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the droid class preview. The adventure looks great!
Thanks for your support! Hope you enjoy it!
